Now Introducing Holy Happy Hour Media

Bernard Jocuns Holy Happy Hour Radio Show Set to Expand Format

LAPEER, Mich. – Attorney and activist Bernard Jocuns is gearing up to add another layer to his radio show, entitled the Bernard Jocuns Holy Happy hour, which currently airs at 7 p.m. on Wednesda evenings on Solid State Radio ( The hour-long broadcast is a variety show, consisting of sociopolitical commentary, insight, satire, arts, entertainment, special guests and, of course, music. However, Jocuns says, the program is soon set to expand its format to become a multimedia news outlet.

Jocuns is a Lapeer-based attorney whose specialties include criminal defense and accident and personal injury cases, along with cannabis laws and policies. Jocuns is also the spokesman for the Coalition for a Safer Lapeer, which is in cooperation with multiple initiatives around the state. He was also appointed attorney for Michigan NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws).

“The Holy Happy Hour is now expanding well beyond just a sociopolitical arts and entertainment radio show,” explained Jocuns. “We will now gradually expand to a news outlet, showcasing stories ranging from politics from the people’s perspective, arts and entertainment, Michigan, the United States and well beyond.” As of now, the Holy Happy Hour is geared toward a “non-biased, progressive, bipartisan audience,” according to Jocuns. The show, headquartered in downtown Lapeer focuses heavily on news pertaining to local events and occurrences, but, Jocuns says, the show breaks barriers in many directions and “hits everything,” regardless of location. The new format, says Jocuns, will break even more barriers and become “much more than a show, more than just entertainment.”

“Ultimately, it would be great to have a few other shows focusing on areas and subjects that are frequently neglected or glossed over,” said Jocuns.
